Speedwell Cottage sits in the heart of rural Georgeham, a small North Devon village just minutes from the spectacular Saunton Sands, the popular village of Croyde and expansive sandy beach at Putsborough, perfect for families, surfers and dogwalkers alike. Croyde beach is open to dogs in the low season but the two mile long beach from Putsborough Sands in the south to Woolacombe at the northern end is open to dogs all year, as is Saunton Sands. There are beautiful walks and beaches all around, including the South West Coast path, so there’s no shortage of places to explore. Georgeham itself has two great pubs and a convenient village shop all within walking distance, and the nearby popular village of Croyde offers more pubs, restaurants and shops, as well as surf stores, a post office, general stores, café and ice cream shops.

Directions

When you get to Braunton proceed straight across the main set of traffic lights, heading towards Woolacombe and Ilfracombe. Take the left hand turning immediately after the Fire Station signposted to Georgeham. Continue up the hill and follow the road around towards Georgeham, once you reach the T-junction with the Post Office in front of you, turn left. Follow the road a short distance and take the first right onto Netherhams Hill. As the hill rises, there is a driveway on your right.  Speedwell Cottage is on the right and your parking spot is on the left (the middle of three spaces, the others belonging to Box Cottage and The Stables).
